Housing Nantucket offers online Home Buyer Education for first time buyers who are unable to attend our traditional three-session classroom series. Funding from the Nantucket Cottage Hospital’s Community Health Initiative kickstarted this program, and we are very grateful for this support.

How it works

Housing Nantucket teamed up with national platform Framework to offer online education specific to Nantucket. The program consists of a self-paced online portion as well as a one-hour, in-person group session at Housing Nantucket’s office. Satisfactory completion of the online modules and the group session are mandatory in order to receive a Certificate of Completion. Group sessions are offered once a month and preregistration is required.

The total cost for online education is $100 per household, paid in two parts. First, you will pay a $75 fee to Framework to access the online portion. After you have successfully completed the online course, you will pay a $25 fee to Housing Nantucket when you attend the group session.

Steps to complete the online course and receive a Certificate of Completion:

1. CALL Housing Nantucket to confirm your eligibility to take the course (508) 228-4422. The online program is only available to those who cannot attend an in-person session.
2. REGISTER with Framework and pay their $75 fee. Course completion includes taking all tests with a score of 80% or higher on each. If you have difficulty reaching these scores, you may contact Framework to assist you in progressing to the next step.
3. SIGN UP for your group session with Housing Nantucket.
4. ATTEND your scheduled group session at Housing Nantucket and pay the $25 fee.
5. RECEIVE a Certificate of Completion from Housing Nantucket.
