(December 22, 2023) Progress continues on Honeysuckle Drive at the homeownership opportunities we currently have under construction. Housing Nantucket’s goal for this project is to create new, stable housing opportunities, permanently designated for middle-income households residing on Nantucket year-round. If you’ve been following this project, you will recall our ongoing construction coverage at these three-bedroom, 2.5 bath homes. We feel extreme gratitude towards our supporters, especially Tom and Lisa Ragno, the Community Foundation’s Nantucket Fund, the Cape Cod 5 Foundation, and the diligent efforts of our partners at the Richmond Great Point Development who help to make this exciting initiative possible.

Here, “middle-income” is defined as households earning less than 240% of the Area Median Income, or about $325,000 / year for a household of four. Because dual-income households can exceed the income qualification criteria of our existing programs, integral members of our workforce are often left in a very vulnerable position.  Yet open market opportunities remain financially unattainable.
