Affordable & Green

Housing Nantucket, in 2007, made a commitment to creating all of its new units as "Affordable & Green." Simply put, this means that all new construction will meet at least the LEED for Homes certified standards. Our newest unit at Clarendon Street is likely to be certified LEED for Homes Silver, while the house on Norquata Drive is likely to achive the same goal.

This particular portion of the website will provide resources for those interested in affordable housing and green construction. We have lots of information in our office as well in our "Resource Library." (PDF) Future resources include material lists/specifications and white papers on sustainability.

Please email aaron(at)housingnantucket.org if you would like to have us post your information. Housing Nantucket makes no recommendations regarding the use of these professionals. We simply are providing the information as a service to the community. Our in-house Resource Library may also have some books, magazines or materials that would be of use as well.
